Final Expense Insurance
Focus Financial Group has been in the life insurance business for over 25 years, offering a variety of life insurance and investment products to meet our clients’ specific needs.
Throughout this time we have noticed an emerging trend in seniors who are unable to secure life insurance coverage due to their age and/or health. In an effort to provide our seniors with affordable, permanent, life insurance coverage, we have created a specialized division of our company – Focus On Seniors.
Focus On Seniors is composed of a team of experienced Life Insurance Agents whose only job is to help seniors find coverage that fits their situation and their budget.
We have access to over 15 top-rated insurance carriers, allowing us to shop for the best coverage at the lowest rates. Companies like AIG, Royal Neighbors, Liberty Bankers, Mutual Of Omaha, and many more. These companies have been around for decades and pride themselves on helping seniors protect their loved ones from the burden of paying for their final expenses.
We work for you, not the insurance company
By choosing to only work with the top-rated carriers, our agents can offer you the best final expense insurance available today. After answering a few simple health questions, our trained agents will know in a matter of minutes which policies you qualify for and help you choose the plan that’s right for you.
Qualify for day-one coverage over the phone
Gone are the days of door-knockers coming to your house and bothering you in the middle of the day. Our agents use the latest in technology to qualify you over the phone. No one ever comes to your house and there are no medical exams or doctor’s visits to qualify for final expense insurance through Focus On Seniors.
In the past, medical exams were often required to get a life insurance policy. This kept many folks from finding suitable coverage to protect their families. They simply didn’t want to go through the hassle of going to see the doctor and getting a bunch of tests. Focus on Seniors can collect all the information we need over the phone and after a review of your medical and prescription history, we can tell you right away if you qualify and even sign you up over the phone so you can be covered that same day!
Flexible billing for those on fixed-incomes
Many of our clients are on a fixed income such as social security or retirement pensions. Often, they receive their benefits at the same time every month. Focus On Seniors can help you setup a payment schedule that coincides with your benefit deposit so you never have to worry if the money will be there to cover your monthly premium.
Many Coverage Options Available
Do you have health problems? Have you been turned down for life insurance in the past? Are you under the care of a doctor? Taking medications or maybe have a chronic illness that you’re being treated for? We want you to know that we’ve got you covered.
Our agents are the best in the business and even if you have been turned down for coverage in the past, we can find coverage for 99.9% of people that apply. During your short health interview, we can quickly determine which type of policy you can qualify for and give you the rate right over the phone.

Simplified Application Process
We already mentioned that Focus On Seniors never sends an agent to your home. But we take it a step further by making the application process even easier.
From the moment you speak to one of our friendly agents, you will know you are speaking to someone who actually cares about helping you protect your loved ones.
We keep the process the simple to save you time and make your buying decision as easy as possible. Here’s how it works:
1.) We collect and verify your personal information (Name, Date of Birth, Height, Weight, Address Information)
2.) We ask a series of health questions so we know what type of plans you will qualify for.
3.) We provide you with several premium options so you know exactly how much your policy will cost.
4.) Once you have chosen your policy, we will complete your application over the phone and provide you with an instant underwriting decision.
5.) You choose the date you want your premium to be drafted from your checking account and that’s it!
The entire process takes less than 45 minutes.
Simplified Issue vs. Guaranteed Issue
We get asked this question a lot so let’s cover the basic difference between Simplified Issue plans and Guaranteed Issue plans.
1.) Simplified Issue Plans
Simplified Issue is for folks that either healthy or that may have some minor health issues. The application process requires you to answer health questions and provide a list of your medication that the insurance carrier will verify with the Medical Information Bureau (MIB). Some carriers will also review your medical records during the underwriting process. These reviews are done in real time while you are on the phone and will not typically delay the underwriting decision.
There are three types of Simplified Issue policies: Level, Graded, and Modified. Level is the best and typically the least expensive. If you qualify for a Level Coverage plan, you will receive your the full amount of your death benefit from day 1 should you pass. Graded is slightly more expensive and offers a percentage of your death benefit should you pass within years 1 and 2, and the full amount of your death benefit in year 3. Modified coverage is similar to graded, however, instead of offering a % of your death benefit in years 1 and 2, you will simply receive a return of your premiums paid plus a small amount of interest (10-20%). After year 2, you will receive your full death benefit. Both Graded and Modified will pay 100% of your death benefit should your death be the result of an accident.
2.) Guaranteed Issue Plans
Guaranteed Issue plans are just like the name implies – guaranteed issue. These plans do not require a health history review, MIB review or a list of prescriptions. Anyone can qualify for Guaranteed Issue plans.
These are usually the most expensive type of Final Expense plans and are capped at a $25,000 maximum death benefit.
They also have a waiting period before you are eligible for the full face amount of your policy. Typically this is 2 years with a return of premium and full death benefit beginning in year 3.
While these plans are much easier to qualify for, the fact that they don’t provide day 1 coverage makes them only useful for those that don’t qualify for any other type of coverage. That being said, if you or someone you love have serious health conditions that would otherwise prevent them from being approved for any other type of life insurance, Guaranteed Issue can certainly provide the coverage you need.
Protection For Your Loved Ones, Peace Of Mind For You
At Focus On Seniors, we believe in taking care of our seniors and their families. We have assembled a team of experienced and knowledgeable agents that help folks like you every single day. We pride ourselves on helping you find the coverage you need at a price you can afford.
Our customers are usually interested in speaking with us for one of three reasons:
1.) The first reason is that they have no coverage and don’t want to burden their loved ones with the cost of their funeral or cremation expenses.
2.) The second reason is that they have some coverage but could use a little more.
3.) And the third reason is that they would like to leave a little something for their children, their grandchildren, a place of worship or their favorite charity.
The average cost of a funeral with burial services today is over $10,000. The average cost for cremation services is over $5,000. With an affordable Final Expense policy, you can easily cover the costs of these services and protect your family from having to come up with this money unexpectedly.
You choose your beneficiary and when you pass, they receive your tax-free death benefit, typically within 48 hours, and they can use that money however they see fit.
The cost of burial insurance only increases as we get older, so if you have been thinking about protecting your loved ones, now is the time see what you can qualify for. We make the process easy. Simple click the button below and fill out the quote form to find out how much coverage you can get.
